Pre-Launch Guide

Schedule Q&A Sessions

Q&A sessions with your Implementation Manager (IM) are specifically designed to provide you with one-on-one support. Your IM can walk you through features, troubleshoot issues, and offer practical tips to make managing your site easier. The goal is to give you the confidence and knowledge you need to edit and maintain your site.

Content Review

Take time to carefully review the homepage and remove any placeholder text, images, or links that may still be present. Proofread content to catch any spelling, grammar, or clarity issues. Verify that the footer contact information is accurate and up to date, including the address, phone number, email, and any social media links.

ParentSquare Post

Posts created in ParentSquare can easily be shared to your website’s Post Feed and to social media platforms, allowing your team to update multiple communication channels at once. This helps keep your website, social media, and parent communications consistent, timely, and easy for families to rely on.

Staff Directory

Set up the staff directory and verify that all information is accurate and complete. Check that staff names, titles, departments, and contact details are correct and up to date. Upload staff photos and test any search or filtering features to ensure users can easily find the staff members they are looking for.

Calendar

Create events directly within the Smart Sites Calendar or integrate an external calendar feed to keep your website’s events accurate, organized, and easy for families to access. The Smart Sites Calendar allows schools and districts to manage events in one place while ensuring updates appear automatically across the website.

Users

Adding Users to Smart Sites is simple because the platform is integrated directly with ParentSquare. This integration allows you to quickly add staff members who already exist in your ParentSquare directory without needing to manually create new user accounts.

Navigation & Key Resources

Set up Popular Links to give visitors fast access to commonly used resources. Make sure important pages can be reached within just a few clicks from the homepage so information is easy to find. Finally, test dropdown menus and navigation paths to confirm they work correctly and guide users to the right pages.

Design & Layout

Review the overall site layout to ensure consistency across all pages. Check that fonts, colors, and branding elements align with your district or organization’s guidelines. Verify that all images are high quality and properly sized, and make any final design adjustments or layout improvements as needed to create a polished, professional appearance.

Final Site Polish

Take time to make any final adjustments to the site’s content, layout, and overall design. Perform a final walkthrough of the entire website from a visitor’s perspective to ensure everything is clear and easy to navigate. Once everything has been reviewed and confirmed, make sure the site is fully ready for public viewing and launch.
