Last night’s board meeting opened with a celebration of the talent and dedication that make our district a leader in the region. The Board was honored to recognize three National Merit Semifinalists and the Oakwood Middle School Robotics team for their recent regional victory. Additionally, we presented the "Excellence in Service" award to Mrs. Diane Miller, a veteran bus driver who has safely transported our students for over 25 years.

Recognitions like these remind us why we serve. "Behind every data point and budget line is a student achieving their potential and a staff member going the extra mile," noted Sarah Jenkins, Board Chair. "Highlighting these achievements is the best part of our agenda."

In addition to the awards, the Board approved the upcoming winter performance schedule and received an update from the Student Advisory Council on new extracurricular interest groups. It was a wonderful evening focusing on the heart of our schools: our people.
